How do you combine aspects in Thaumcraft?
If you want a certain crystal or liquid essentia, you’ll have to either melt down an item that has it, or centrifuge a different aspect that is made of it. You cannot combine diffrrent Aspects (yet), but the addon Thaumic Additions adds an Essentia Combiner that can do that.
How do I get more primal aspects?
Just to flesh out what others have said:You can place clusters and bookshelves around your table and it will passively give you infinite points. Wool in a Deconstruction table is guaranteed to give you an aspect (most or possible all other items will not) and better yet the aspect can be any of the primals.
How do you get an Instrumentum?
It is most easily distilled from flint, but also found in any shovel or axe. It has many compounds, of which Machina, Telum and Tutamen are perhaps the most easily available.
What gives Ordo in Thaumcraft?
Ordo is found directly in few items: Silverwood logs, Smooth Sandstone, or droppers. More often, it will be centrifuged from Motus, Instrumentum, or Potentia. (Machina can also be double-centrifuged for 50% Ordo.) Another option is Vitreus, which may be surplus from other work such as distilling emeralds.
How do you make Motus?
Motus, the aspect of Motion, is composed of Aer + Ordo. Its essentia is needed to produce golem bodies, and for various infusions. It can also be centrifuged to yield Ordo.
What gives Praecantatio?
It has several common sources: Most plentiful in the early game is greatwood or silverwood logs (and saplings), but if those are not available, it can be obtained from chiseled sandstone, or mossy cobblestone. Once a Nether Fortress has been explored, it can be produced in massive amounts with a netherwart farm.
What gives Permutatio?
Permutatio is an Aspect based in Exchanging, Change, and Barter. Permutatio is one of the earlier aspects you will discover due to its presence on common items such as Eggs and Seeds.
How do you get Vitium?
Put your crucible under or near any of the six primal crystals that grow in caves and overflow crucible with stone or something. Crystals in the same chunk will turn slowly in to flux crystals which drop 1 – 4 Vitium Vis crystals (1 x Vitium).
How do you pick up tainted soil?
Spawns in Tainted Lands, also all Dirt blocks will turn into this block when covered with Fibrous Taint for a long time. The block can be broken with anything, but Shovel of the Purifier mines it much faster. To obtain this block, break it with a tool with Silk Touch enchantment.
How do you spawn a flux rift?
Spawning. Flux Rifts can spawn when Flux levels in a chunk’s aura exceed 75% of the chunk’s Vis cap. The chance for a chunk to spawn a rift on an aura tick is 1% per 50 Flux. Flux Rifts can not spawn in a area around an another Flux Rift.
Where do I get flux crystals?
The Flux Crystal is a glowing ore added by Thaumcraft 6. It is found in clusters of 1-64. When mined, it will drop 1-4 Vitium Vis Crystals (the number of crystals it drops is determined by looking at the block). It is unaffected by Silk Touch.

Quartz is a mineral and minerals don’t corrode like metals do. Vinegar is a weak acid that shouldn’t effect quartz. But it can dissolve some other mineral “impurities” that may be embedded in a quartz matrix, giving the impression that the quartz itself is corroding.
