What is a capstone interview?
Capstone Review is where you and the Transition Readiness staff verify that you have met CRS and Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Compliance, and are ready for the final meeting with the Commander (or designee).
What should I wear to TRS?

- For adults, start with 1 spray a day, in the mouth under the tongue (see next point for children)
- It is recommended to take 6 hours away from other medications.
- TRS can be taken with food or drink.
- The recommended dose is 5 sprays per day, or 1 spray per 30 pounds of body weight.
When can you start TRS?
Currently, Marines are encouraged to begin TRS within 12-14 months of their EAS or within 24 months of their retirement, but no later than 180 days from EAS or Retirement (per MCO 1700.31).
Is TRS considered a 401k?
The benefits offered by TRSs include traditional defined-benefit pensions along with defined-contribution plans including 403(b) plans, which resemble 401(k)s. The specific benefits of TRS plans vary widely by state and even by the school district.
Is 403b better than 401k?
Both offer tax-advantaged retirement savings. You can choose from a limited range of investment options in both types of plans. 401(k)s and 403(b)s are similar; one isn’t necessarily better than the other.

Does spouse receive Social Security after death?
If My Spouse Dies, Can I Collect Their Social Security Benefits? A surviving spouse can collect 100 percent of the late spouse’s benefit if the survivor has reached full retirement age, but the amount will be lower if the deceased spouse claimed benefits before he or she reached full retirement age.
Can survivor benefits be taken away?
This provision provides spousal benefits as long as the ex-spouse is still alive, and then survivor benefits kick in later on. This can have the effect of taking away Social Security spousal benefits for someone who remarries at 62 or later and has therefore already become eligible to take those benefits.
