Any of the following suffice: a U.S. driver’s license; an undamaged passport (current or expired); naturalization certificate; or a current government or military ID. Parents or guardians must appear with the child when applying for a passport and must sign the DS-11 form in front of the passport agent.

Documents required for a fresh passport

Is 10th original certificate necessary for passport?

10th marksheet is for ECNR Passport and birth certificate is for DoB. If you have any such document that carry your DOB like Aadhar card, PAN card, DL, voter icard etc. it can get substituted as DoB certificate. Similarly, if you have any educational document higher than 10th mark sheet, that will go for ECNR passport.

Can you wear T shirt for passport photo?

Daina, the State Department doesn’t have any rule about the type of shirt you wear, as long as it is not a uniform shirt. Tank tops and sleeveless blouses are allowed. We do recommend that whatever shirt you wear, it have a high enough neckline that the collar will show when your photo is cropped down.

Can I edit my details in a submitted passport application form?

No, data once submitted in an online passport application form cannot be edited. However, data as submitted in the application is not taken as granted and it is subject to verification with reference to original documents at the time of visit to the PSK.

  5. Enter your personal details like name and date of birth.
